PEST CONTROLLING MECHANISM USING
FUZZY LOGIC AND EXPERT SYSTEMS
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the area of computer science focusing on creating machines that can engage on behaviors that humans consider intelligent. The ability to create intelligent machines has intrigued humans since ancient times and today with the advent of the computer and 50 years of research into AI programming techniques, the dream of smart machines is becoming a reality. AI is brought in order to reduce human efforts and to increase the efficiency of what they are dealing with. In this we are making the intelligent machines to think like humans.
FUZZY LOGIC & EXPERT SYSTEMS:
Fuzzy logic and Expert systems are one of the main categories involved in AI. Fuzzy logic deals with reasoning that is approximate rather than fixed and exact. Fuzzy logic is the concept where accurate results cannot be predicted .It has been applied from fields like control theory to artificial intelligence. An Expert system is software that uses a knowledge base of human expertise for problem solving, or to clarify uncertainties where normally one or more human experts would need to be consulted. In Expert system robots are made to work like humans for problem solving.
PEST CONTROL:
Pest control refers to the regulation or management of a species defined as a pest, usually because it is perceived to be detrimental to a person's health, the ecology or the economy. Pest are of different kinds living in different environmental conditions. Ex: agricultural pest, household pest etc. Several pesticides are used to control these organisms which are harmful to humans in many ways such as inhaling vapors, direct contact. It may cause severe diseases which may lead to death. It may also lead to hereditary diseases. For example deaths recorded in Kerala by ENDOSULPHAN an agricultural pesticide used in large quantities.
MECHANISM:
In large scale industries pest problems will be on a higher side. To overcome these issues we need more human efforts, time complexity, labour cost, health hazard by using various toxic pesticides. These problems can be solved by generating a humanoid robot in place of a normal human. Any way in future robots will be introduced in all aspects of human life. while using this pest controlling mechanism we can save human life in exposure with hazardous chemicals.
Pest control results are based on fuzzy logic in which accuracy cannot be determined. For example while doing a large scale pest control process we cannot determine the period of chemical efficiency. So pest control is a fuzzy based process. Similarly we can use expert systems for pest controlling purpose by using humanoid robots/machines in place of a human.
